As promised:

There will still be some changes, including the copy line (or so I'm promised), but this is what to look for. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the actual scene in the book, natch, but hey, looks cool. Says "Wren's in trouble again." Which she so, so is, yeah...

Bookstores are placing their orders soon, so be sure to tell your local that you'll be stopping by for a copy or twelve come July...

Need to size down the cover for October's Young Warriors anthology so it doesn't eat too much bandwidth, but if you want to check it out here....

Looks nifty! Less hot pink this time around it appears.

Very purty. Congratulations!

(Though somehow I've never imagined Wren in heels like those. Top yes, heels, no.*grin*)

I'm not bitching or anything, but they sure got something against showing Wren's whole head, don't they?

I like the super-imposed scripting.

Great cover...black leather, cleavage, high-heels and a sense of movement and magic. What else could you ask for?

I will accept sweat as a substitute for leather.

I like it. The cover for Staying Dead didn't seem to fit the book after I'd read it, but this one is, I guess, more exciting.

Actually, the cover of STAYING DEAD worked for me. It reminded me of when Wren went up to the roof to tap the thunderstorm. It just seemed to symbolize her joy in what she had learned, and could do--and also, the suggestion that lightning added to the power of the individual I won't mention in case someone who hasn't read the book reads this....

The new cover is Interesting and should get people to pick up the book (its #1 job) but spike heels? Would she ever wear spiked heels, even to the gallery for a show? %^)

(In her line of work, there might always be someone ready to chase, pick a fight, etc. Sort of like wearing running shoes while commuting, and changing into dress shoes at the office. She might change into dress shoes at the gallery?)

It's also a COOL cover--I'd say, in the cover dice roll, you got a seven overall.

I don't think the "wet teeshirt" look was what they were going for with this line of books.... {VBG} Or sundress, in this case.

Clearly, they've decided that leather is Wren's thing.

Yay, can't wait to read it. Any possibility of getting you to put your john hancock on it?

Just finished Staying Dead. Was very impressed. Your concept of magic as electricity is both innovative and contains a certain internal consistency that I found most pleasing.

Found your LJ through the website, and be-friended you.

Thanks again for the wonderful novel...

Very nice cover. I'll be watching my mailbox eagerly. (Yes, I signed up for the Luna subscription service, and have been reading my way through the entire series in order of publication. I'm only three behind right now)
