"I firmly planted the flag of liberty (in Irag) for all to
see"
Bush the Lesser

And from today's New York Times:

"President Bush's opening statement at his news conference on
Wednesday was striking for what it left out: any mention of the 31
Americans who died overnight in the crash of a Marine helicopter in
Iraq, the largest number of American deaths in a single incident since
the war began."

On behalf of the votering majority of the Blue States of America -- it's not our damn fault, okay? We tried.

Read on a bumper sticker on an SUV this morning on the way to work:

Don't Blame Me; I Voted for Kerry.

Since I live in NJ, the driver was pretty much preaching to the choir.

Would it make you any angrier to know that we will be suspending the July 1st troop withdrawal date; Iraqi forces are not ready to bare the burden of maintaining peace? That was a very small news blurb I found off of Yahoo News yesterday.

In order to be angrier, we would have to first be surprised. I expected this. I also expect the draft Real Soon Now.

Yeah I know from being on recruiting duty currently; that Navy and Air Force are doing well. Army and Marines however, are sucking. Army is sucking so badly that they have started programs like this: Blue to Green (http://www.goarmy.com/btg/index.jsp)

Not to mention those of us who pissed up the rope in the red states.

If they will let him resign. Tell him to be paranoid about the paperwork, and yes, he wants a letter saying they know he's out and accept it....

But then, SF writers are paranoid, even when they are feeling better balanced these days.
