random tvosity -- the die-off

"Pushing Daisies." Still so wonderful, and smart, and surreal and bittersweet, and the bit with the Confederate heir had me dying -- not just the dainty accent but the homage to Errol Flynn and every staircase swordfight evah.

"Life." I wasn't sure, but yeah, still has its hooks into me. Even the meh episodes intrigue.

"Bionic Woman." I found myself, alas, multitasking during it. Never a good sign. Where has the snarky fun gone?

"CSI." Heart, spoon. Although technically they've already et it, and we're just waiting around to clean the plates. Yes, I did happen to like that character, if not always what they did with hir, and I think the show will be the less for the loss.

(I actually ended up watching a bit of CSI: Miami, don't ask me why. Dear Universe, nothing this bad can happen without intent. It's taking on the karma-hit so we can have good tv, isn't it? Tell me there's a reason for it to still be on the air....)

"Chuck." Meh. It's still cute, but cute alone doesn't keep me interested.

And so the die-off begins.

I just realized that I've never made coq au vin.

This will be remedied in the near future. Locals, take note.

I also have in my paws some notes for caramelized oranges and chocolate mousse....

Boomerang, Fool of a Took, Cat of No Brain, Meatloaf-in-Training, is an idiot. Smart, in his own way, but an idiot. He's learned that scratching on the glass of the front door gets him let outside. So he thinks that if he scratches on the glass of the curio cabinet, he can get outside.

work continues. writing, in and of itself, is actually too boring to blog about. A lot of me bleeding onto the screen, muttering and pacing. cats are more entertaining than I am right now. bed soon. yes. or maybe another couple-hundred words...

EtA: a squirrel in a yellow rain slicker just went by in a rowboat. rain is good. we need the rain, yes. must keep reminding self of that...
