On the other hand, Sara Ramirez won a Tony for her role in Spamalot. Yayyyyy! *much Kermit-waving of arms* I am pleased to say I predicted this, mere moments after seeing her do The Diva Song onstage. And Mike Nichols won for best direction of same, yayyyy!

(and Terri? *hands her a towel* You know you need it, and you know why. *grin*)

Spent last night at the Harlequin Book Expo party, which was quite swanky and a lot of fun, and ooo, caviar! And after the party ended, there were late night single malts (and cider) in the local Irish pub with fellow Lunatix Maria Snyder, arcaedia, and Luna Goddess and editor Mary-Theresa Hussey. And yes, we were by far the best dressed femmes in the joint. :-)

Today? Woken by the sound of a feral cat somewhere serenading the dawn (and Boomer deciding to try a tenor counterpoint), then brunch at a local Southern BBQ place that does a killer buffet. arcaedia was sent off to catch her train home and then (fortified by iced tea and a fan set on "high"), it was back to work. Much work waiting on the desk, yes.

And it's supposed to be damnhot[tm] all week. Urgh. *melt*
