Attention published authors! Tobias Bucknell has finally gotten our collective genre acts in gear, with his Genre Advance Study. The survey will remain up for a year, but the sooner we all share the data, the sooner we can start determining patterns (or lack thereof).

Go. Share. Build the Knowledge. Because, as you know, knowledge is power, and we all need electricity...

We've been building a contract database of horror/dark fantasy deals over at the HWA for the last six months or so. A fair degree of the information gleaned has been informative and certainly interesting.

This one is casting its nets a little wider (to say: not restricted to a single organization's members), which is why I listed it here.

Do you plan on releasing your results into the wild, or is it for HWA members only?

Good question - and one I'll think about. Having a large scale view of spec fic advances and details would certainly benefit us all (or just give us something new to weep about...)
