A brief foodie interlude

PNW summer joys: saffron salmon rice salad, made with smoked salmon I picked up from a local farmstand.

This shit's good enough, and pretty enough, to make it onto the list for my next dinner party, but also easy enough to be on the workday rotation....

That sounds amazing! I don't get much salmon these days bc mom's not a fan, so I'm salivating in virtual enjoyment.

The joy of smoked salmon, other than the fact that it's tasty, is that you can buy a small package and not have to use it all at once. 8 ounces was enough for an omelette, adding to pasta, and then adding to the rice, over the course of a week's meals.
