SciFi channel seems to be having a "Puppet Master" festival, leading into the new made-for-tv movie, "Puppet Master vs. The Demonic Toys."

I love these movies. They're so godawful...

I know what you mean. I even have the first Puppet Master movie on DVD! If you were to ask me why I like it, I'd have a difficult time explaining because I just don't know.

Sistah!

I love the Puppet Master movies. And like [livejournal.com profile] windrose, I thought I was the only person who did.

On the other hand, the special effects have gotten a little better...

Demonic Toys is on my TV right now. Don't know why I watch 'em. But I do.

Oooh, I missed that. I had family in.

I was bummed--I caught Species and Species 2 in the marathon, both of which were reasonably good. But I missed Species 3, which was promising to suck massively. And I like that in those types of movies almost as much as I like it when they're good. The MST3K possibilities are nearly endless.

Oh god the puppet master films are god awful, terrible, cheesy and terrible. However I must admit that I was watching them because they were on. I didn't tune to them specifically, the TV was on that channel from something else and when the movies started I failed to change the channel. I wasn't totally watching, as it was mostly background noise, but I did keep looking up from what I was doing. And I would think how bad the movie was and that I should change the channel, and then I would look away and get back to whatever I was doing only to repeat the whole process 10 minutes later. Now it would have been fairly normal if I had only done that through one of the films. No I had it on long enough to watch the second airing of each movie as well as the first. In other words, I watched the whole cheesy marathon twice!!! I am such a geek.
