Discoveries!
Dec. 1st, 2003 09:59 amIf I'm at the computer and someone calls my cell phone, three seconds before the phone rings I'll hear static through the computer's speakers.
If I try to run the space heater and the electric tea-kettle and the computer and the floor lamp all at the same time, I will blow the fuse in my office.
I actually do know how to reset a blown fuse.
There comes a time when even my adept at the art of avoidance brain says "okay Gilman, time's up, get back to work. Time to deal with the revisions letter..."
Later: Hrm. I feel nowhere near so scathed by that letter as I thought I would/should be. In fact, I think the "loved this!" comments were far in the majority over the queries. There's work to be done, yes, but I knew that. Could it be... this book may actually not embarass me after all?
We'll see. I wouldn't want my Eeyore rep giving out on me at this late date, after all...

Cell phones are evil. The things that can happen with cell phones are just... bad. In your case, never say anything on your cell phone you wouldn't want someone in the next room to hear over the computer's speakers....
