Well, since the pirates are already making the rounds with L. A. Kornetsky's CLAWED before it's even officially on sale, let's beat them at their own game, shall we?

Comment here with what YOU think should be done to people who make it harder for writers to make money off their work, and the most creative - and purely theoretical, we hasten to add - response will earn themselves a paperback copy of CLAWED, ten days before it hits the shelves!

if you'd rather buy a copy for yourself or a loved one, that is also a lovely thing...

(this offer open until May 16th at 6pm Saturday night, Pacific time, so everyone has a chance to see it)

And to books.

Have their income reduced by the projected lost royalties and see how long they can survive.

(A little voice in my head voted for making them 'special guests' at various conventions and releasing readers, writers and publishers on them.)

I received an email yesterday telling me my copy is on route. Hopefully it will arrive in Tuesday's mail.

Force them to cover comprehensive, top-drawer health insurance for all the authors they've stolen from -- for life. Even if they stop pirating, they'll still have to forever cover from any author whose work they pirated at any point in their heinous careers.

Sentence them to spend 60 hours a week copy-editing the absolute worst self-published dreck (you know, the kind where the author can't tell the difference between their and they're and doesn't understand the proper use of punctuation)... only to have the manuscripts published *with* their names listed as editor, but *without* having any of their changes included in what gets published.

For LIFE.
