As we're getting older and our vision is getting worse, something Satyr & I have discovered is that copy edits go MUCH MUCH faster when you can actually read things.
So, I got him one of those magnifying sheets of plastic, and a nifty headset with magnifying goggles and an LED light (he swaps back and forth between them) which made reading through 694 pages of 9 point font (printed "fast draft" so as to not use more than one entire ink cartridge) SO much easier.
And I let him use my computer for entering the edits. I recently got myself a present for photo processing--a 39" 4k TV that I use as a monitor. It's fantastic for close-up detail work... or for increasing your viewing size while still being able to see the entire page.
Now I have a MUCH happier writer/editor to come home to at night! (Although he does still swear about finding necessary edits.)
