lagilmanMomma meerkat is feeling particularly irritated tonight: some of the more vulnerable (mostly female, mostly young) members of SPN fandom are getting a spate of anon hatemail, particularly on Tumblr. For the most part they're rallying - supported by friends and total strangers. But the fact that anyone thinks this is... I don't know WHAT they think it is, if they think it's okay, or that it makes them clever, or particularly brilliantly vicious.
Sending hatemail for lulz, especially when you deliberately target people who've been open and upfront about battles with depression, makes you nothing but pathetic. Or, in the parlance: too low to kick and too slimy to step on.
But not too low or slimy for a meerkat to chew up and spit out, if they get within reach.
