So over on Tumblr someone posted a lovely, very arty photoset of a tattooed woman in fishnets, bra, and garters posed in an autumnal woodland setting.

And all I could think was "I hope to hell they checked for ticks, after."

I may have to hand in my Urban Girl card.

I think any smart Urban Girl would have the same reaction. Just because you know there are ticks doesn't mean you embrace them.

During the summer I hike in an East-coast urban park pretty regularly--and the tick-check and shower afterward are a necessary part of the ritual.
