Back from Paris, which was cold but lovely, and there was much good food and much good wine, and much artistic admiration (and the paintings and sculptures were nice, too). And now back to a rejection letter (sob!) and bills (more sob!) and some awaited publishers' checks (yay, can pay the bills!) and a metric truckoad of catalogs. Gee. You'd think it was almost December or something.


Pandora did not do anything horrible while I was away (that I've discovered, yet, anyway) and she seems to have settled down nicely (with mrowering 'pet me!" demands every ten minutes or so to make sure I haven't gone away again). And so life slips back into its accustomed pace...

Awaiting notes on two different projects which should land in my in-box as soon as the folk responsible wake up tomorrow and remember I'm home. Should take this day of rest as, well, a day of rest. Okay, rest, and laundry, and bill-paying, and cat-scritching, and food shopping...

(BTW, how would you like to meet Susan and me for dinner Thurdsay night? We're going to Centanni in Maplewood.)
