- I need to cook those chicken thighs tonight or tomorrow.
- okay basic roasting thing, no problem, toss some oil and crushed garlic…
- hrm. I have an awful lot of apples in the fridge I need to use, too. Okay, chop two into slivers and toss ‘em in with the chicken for the last ten minutes of cooking, see if they pick up the flavor.
- huh, let me set the chicken to finish and mash the cooked apple and garlic and… Dijon mustard? Excellent idea!
- oh hey, add a dash of that smoked chipotle salt to the mash, too.
- serve chicken over heat-wilted spinach, topped with apple-mustard chutney.
Holy mother of gastronomy. I need to feed this to, like, a thousand people.
