lagilman: coffee or die (Castiel Kitten of Thursday)
[personal profile] lagilman
I now know why Cas-kitten-of-Thursday is so often dusty. He's figured out what he's exactly the right size to fit through the flap in the radiator grate, and has been curling up under the radiator. This would be amusing except for the fact that once the radiator comes on in winter, he could seriously hurt himself doing that. So I'm trying to break that habit NOW.

But he looks so offended when I haul him out of there, and tape up the flap...

Meanwhile, I am laughing my ASS off, because he was all scrunched down, getting ready to leap on CatofSize, when all of a sudden he was distracted by.... his own quivering tail-tip.

Yes, dummy, it's attached to you.

Meanwhile there is other stuff I could/should be blogging about, but there's this book that's due on the 15th, and I leave for DragonCon tomorrow, and and and....

Here, have an Editorial Kitten.

(who has been waking me up at oh fuck early to make sure he gets momtime, just like his older sister used to do.  I should be accustomed to it by now, huh?)

I just adopted Lily, a 3 year old DSH. She seems determined to find the most dusty corner of every room. Why I have no idea. It certainly encourages me to dust more often. and she also seems to most want to play around 1:00 am to 2:00 am which is not helping my sleep patterns any :)

Loved the Editorial Kitten pic, you can just see him being highly critical of what is on the screen. Or he is playing Fishie.

We had similar problems with our cats getting dusty, until they grew enough that their was enough clearance between their fuzzy bellies and the floor. We spent the first several months apologizing to them (especially to Nova, in userpic) and telling them we hadn't adopted kittens just to serve as living Swiffers.

Has he finished growing? Will he get too big to get back there on his own by winter?

Well, then, time will fix the problem! Gytha and Mulder used to sleep *under* the radiators and I worried about that, but it's not like that'll happen these days!
