I'm sorry, I know you don't know me, and I hope it's OK to comment here out of the blue since I am just a lowly lurker, but I saw that picture, and thought you'd want to know that the creature in that picture is actually a "pom-pom crab (genus Lybia)", as described in this tumblr post (http://stuckinabucket.tumblr.com/post/53303562157/gimme-an-f-gimme-a-u-okay-so-the-thing-up) (Just in case the link doesn't work, that's the post here: http://stuckinabucket.tumblr.com/post/53303562157/gimme-an-f-gimme-a-u-okay-so-the-thing-up .)
So in all probability, this little guy is actually probably dancing some kind of war dance and trying to warn people off. It's not its fault that it looks so cute doing it. ;)
(Note: that's not my post, and I have no connection whatsoever with that tumblr; I just saw that post a while ago and thought the idea of a crab threatening enemies with pom-poms made out of anemones was kind of awesome. Who says other animals can't use tools. :D )
