Someone on Twitter was bitching about the "disruptions" from the gallery in the Texas Senate last night.

My response:

"When government forgets itself, it is the job of the people to remind them."


And that pretty much sums up my concept of activism, right there....

I don't think governments forget themselves... they are like children who try to get away with stuff while the parents aren't paying attention.

They have forgotten their oaths of service to their constituents, certainly. Intentionally or otherwise.

"you forget yourself" is also a reminder that you're showing bad manners in public.
