Sundry Random Variousness
Oct. 17th, 2004 05:59 pmDone! Grail Quest #1 has been sent on to production. Thank gods. And we now have titles:
1. The Camelot Spell
2. Morgain's Revenge
3. The Shadow Companion
Can you guess which one was of my thinking-up?
No publication date yet, though.
-----------
Just watched "Beyond the Sea." Ah, for the days when the XF theme filled me with anticipation rather than dread...
-----------
Spent the weekend fighting with my cell phone, which seems to want to taunt me with random moments of signal, followed by long periods of no service, even in areas where service has been fine for months. Am muchly irked.
------------
Also spent weekend throwing P's 40th birthday party, as I had promised to do. Was good. Much food. Much wine. Much mocking. We did a modified cocktail hour, rather than a sit-down meal, so it was all appetizers all the time. Made Spanish-style beef kabobs, and a chicken en croute of my own devising (cook chicken, mince, simmer onion and garlic and white wine and chicken broth, and spices, add chicken, spoon into pastry shells and serve warm), and stuffed mushrooms, and a two-cheese fondue, and roasted red pepper bruschetta, and for dessert there were miniature cheesecake cups, bittersweet chocolate truffles, and pastries. And two vintage ports from 1963 (1964 didn't have a vintage declared). .
Today, went to the local crafts fair and splurged on a cheneille (how do you spell that, anyway?) scarf in exactly my favorite shade of teal, and ate leftovers. And worked (see first random comment).
--------------
No Giants today -- their bye week.
--------------
And before we go, a reminder that there's lots of suri's writing out there for you right now!
Staying Dead is in stores everywhere! (check out some of the reviews!)
The anthologies Powers of Detection and Murder by Magic, each with a Retrievers story, are in stores everywhere! (except Amazon.com, which doesn't seem to be carrying MbM. Boo hiss them!)
Along Came A Spider, Catseye, Don't You Want to be Beautiful?, and Apparent Horizon are all available at Fictionwise.com, with more to come as they're uploaded.
And -- someday soonish -- the story Talent in Realms of Fantasy
