Jack Klugman left us this week, after a lifetime of damned fine performances. And one performance that never got the attention it deserved, and has been near-forgotten.

It deserves to be remembered.

Jack Klugman’s secret, lifesaving legacy

I had forgotten that. I'm glad to be reminded. Talk about using your power for good. His memory for a blessing.

Thanks for telling us about it. I love it when the good a person does is NOT interred with their bones. Gives the rest of us hope, it does.

Thank you for that article. It's good to know a childhood hero really was a hero.

Wow, I didn't know that - thank you for the link!

I've never seen an episode of "Quincy", but Klugmann's big scene in "Twelve angry men" (the one where he demonstrates how the knife would have been handled) is my favourite moment in the movie. And I liked him in "I could go on singing".

After reading this, I realized that if it hadn't been for Jack Klugman, my son might not be getting his current Crohn's meds--amazing. Thanks for sharing.
