Half the building (lobby, elevator, basement, hallways) just lost power. Apartments still have power. Fascinating.... The Super Super is Investigating.

We are charging All The Things and drinking All The Wine, in preparation for losing power in the rest of the building. I have a flashlight and candles to-hand, courtesy of Sandy, so it won't even really be an inconvenience.

Yes. We have a perfectly functional cat flap but Sid prefers to sit scowling outside the back door on the other side of the building, sometimes in the rain, so that he can be Martyred.
