How we Spend our Saturday Nights...

Half the building (lobby, elevator, basement, hallways) just lost power. Apartments still have power. Fascinating.... The Super Super is Investigating.

We are charging All The Things and drinking All The Wine, in preparation for losing power in the rest of the building. I have a flashlight and candles to-hand, courtesy of Sandy, so it won't even really be an inconvenience.

Lights still out in the hallway but on in the units. That the circuits for the living areas are separate from the public areas is...reassuring. As is the fact that the building is only 7 stories high. Even if the elevator is out for the duration, most of the residents can make it up/down without asstance.

(my floor-neighbor is a paraplegic, but I suspect it will be repaired well before his regular in-hospital tune-up)
