In the aftermath of Sandy, many groups came forward and asked 'what can we do? How can we raise funds to help?" One of the answers came via Publishing Gives Back.

Laura Anne spent 14 years as a NYC editor (Putnam Berkley and NAL/Roc) before becoming a successful, published author and freelance editor. She will read a synopsis and cover letter, then discuss it with the writer to make sure it's clear and catchy, with as many useful hooks as possible. The consultation could be over phone or Skype, unless the winner prefers e-mail.
Genres: any genre acceptable, but specializes in scifi/fantasy and mystery
