Today totally felt like Tuesday, not Thursday

I overslept. I could probably blame it all on that - I didn't get to my desk until 9am.

Summing it up: 1800 words on Soul of Fire, including the introduction of the witch who may be important later, and the arrival of her Gloriousness to kick ass and chew bubblegum. Oh, and I got the next chapter plotted out to start tomorrow. Another 750 words on the Proposal I'm Not Supposed to Be Writing Yet, including smut. Yes, this is the book that will have smut.

What else? No editing. A bunch of client and potential-client emails. A walk down to the grocery to pick up coffee, and a stop at the eyeglass place to have my glasses fixed. Some paperwork. Dinner-making. Random household chores.

Reality check, please. That's not a slacker-day? Because I feel like I slacked...



Maybe I'll go do some client-editing now. That will make me feel better.

I thought you were supposed to get off work at 7. It's almost 7:30 and you're proposing to do more work?

a) I started work an hour late and b) took time off mid-day to go run errands. And c) I don't feel efficient today. How am I supposed to kick back if I wasn't efficient?

*wince* So very much the wrong tone to take to get me to do something, OtherMom. In fact, that's kinda exactly the tone that usually drives me into worse trouble.

It's always worth finding the time for smut...oh, yeah, you already know that. But why not reinforce it?

(Thank you, by the way. I read one of the Retrievers books after I'd finished Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, because while reading that series I thought "This is well-written and imaginative, and I'm glad I'm reading it, but next I want to read something where the characters may actually have sex.")
