And today is the Official (no really, the Official) launch day for Dragon Justice. The day the publisher had on their schedule, not when books actually appear on shelves.*

To celebrate Official Launch Day (oh dear, I'm OLD) and the release of the digital edition, I'm giving away a $30 gift card from SkinIt (or a $25 gift certificate to B&N - your choice).  All you have to do is post here and tell me if you read paper or digital.  If you want to tell me where you picked up your copy of Dragon Justice (or include a photo of you holding/reading it), that gets you another chance to win.  The contest will remain open until Saturday, August 4th.

Oh, and I'm featured on the Paranormal Romance Blog today, talking about the journey that brought you the Cosa Nostradamus!

*stores have been putting the paper copies out ahead of the OLD for years.  Unless you have a national embargo enforced by the publisher, there's nothing that really can be done for it - like kids trying to get half  step ahead of the others, before the light changes and they can all cross the street.... It sucks for those of us who buy ebooks, but it's utterly out of the writers' hands.

I read both digital and paper. I'm not always able to have hard copies of stuff I read, so I've got both nook and kindle apps on my computer and the nook app on my cell fone so when I want to read I can, no matter where I am :)

It's on my TBR and to-be reviewed pile! Congrats, Laura Anne!

And I read paperbacks, hard covers, digital—hell, I've read palimpsest and quartos back in the day...

YAY! I pre-ordered my ebook from Amazon. I know they're evil, but my partner bought it for me! I can't really show you a picture, because my phone is both my Kindle and my camera.

I tend to be a paper person, but I had been trying to delve a bit into ebooks. My kindle, which I had mainly gotten for pdfs, however, has decided to fail me.

I bought it at the Barnes & Noble in Evanston as I hadn't gotten the chance to hunt it down yet in Chicago, and I was up there to get some stuff from the library.

I read both, but when I have a choice for a flattext book, I go digital now.

Paper! When possible anyway. I just started Dragon Justice last night actually. Preordered from Chapters.

Oooh! Sounds good.

I'm in love with my Kindle and find the bother of having to prop open a hard copy to be too much. And now that I have a broken elbow, I can't hold the book well. So there's no option. No more reading it old school. This series sounds great. (I'm new to you and looking forward to Friday so I can pick up Dragon Justice on Amazon. Will the previous titles be released digitally?

I obviously second the Retrievers books. The magic system is different from everything I've come across. I marginally prefer the Retrievers books, if only for PJ. He steals the show when he's on stage.

I read #3 fairly recently and #4 is on the to read list in the near future. (I found out I can read library books past the due date if I don't turn my kindle's wireless on, so off the wireless stays for the near future.)

Me, I tend to go with whichever I can get first from the library. It also depends on how lazy I feel--do I want to wait longer so I don't have to go out into the AZ heat? But of late, yes, lots more digital but my library's e-collection is very good for SF&F.

Speaking of ebooks, my boyfriend is reading your Pack of Lies now and I'll get to it when I clear out my to read pile some more. Next up for me is Mira Grant's Blackout.

Am I a nerd because I have a huge official sticker from NASA for its Dawn mission on the back of my kindle?

OK, my email is chame @ cox dot net.

We read Pack of Lies and can't wait for Dragon Justice. Thankfully it's on hold at the library.

Oops? I didn't see it on the library's ebooks site, so I missed it. Either way, now it's on hold in paper form at the library. :)

I read both! Very happy to say I got to read DRAGON JUSTICE in both forms - digital AND now paper.

Definitely a week to celebrate - congratulations on the release!

Happy book release day!

I prefer paper, although I'm beginning to run out of places to keep books, so I've started loading ebooks on my iPod to read on the go.
