That the Avengers movie is made entirely of crack because, having punched my geek card and seen it a second time, I want to see it again. Like, tomorrow. The last time a movie did that to me was, um, Raiders of the Lost Ark. And before that, Star Wars.

When I saw Star Wars, I was so enthralled that when the 7pm show ended, I looked over at my friend, and without saying anything, we both sank down in our chairs and hid to see the later show. We were poor high school kids, so paying for a second set of tickets wasn't feasible. It never, ever occurred to me to do anything like that before, I haven't had the urge to do it since. No, not even for The Avengers, though I did love it.

That was pretty much my experience. I saw it in a press preview in 3D the first time. Yesterday was my second viewing, in plain ole 2D, and I loved it all over again. So much fun. Definitely crack in the somewhere.

I have been to see it twice now and keep wanting to pull up a particular scene on the computer before remembering I don't YET have it as a DVD and can't therefore watch again... Going to the cinema to see it a third time, while tempting, just isn't feasible

yeah, NYC prices are hurtful. Thankfully, freelancers can take advantage of half-price morning matinee tickets....

I can't even remember the last time I saw something in the theatre twice. I don't think I've ever gone to see something three times, and yet here I am, trying to convince myself that I can wait for it to be out on DVD.
