Date: 2004-09-27 06:44 am (UTC)Out here in LA (where we'll finally get a team again in 2006) I've got nobody to root for, so my choices are the Chargers, the Raiders (who I cheer for just to annoy my brother-in-law who's a Chiefs fan), or the 49ers--who hired the worthless Dennis Erikson (who I didn't like when he coached my alma marter, Miami) and can't coach his way out of box opened at both ends--which leaves me either the Giants, Redskins or Cowboys. I'd never be allowed back in Philly again if I picked one of those teams.

How long before the Giants have a revolt under Mr Discipline, Tom Coughlin? I bet it's right after they lose a couple of more games.

You haven't been paying attention. They already tried -- and then they discovered that his ways work for them. Come on, if you're going to try and be obnoxious, you need to do your homework, first. Otherwise people just laugh at you.

And as far as class goes, I'd take the knowledgable Philly fan over the fair-weather Giant fan anyday. At least when they boo their own team they know why. And spare me that nonsense about Giant fans being so classy, I've met my share and they give new meaning to the word obnoxious.
But I'll let the teams records this year talk instead.
