This weekend has been a blast of Autumn weather -- a cold downpour with flooding and high winds on Saturday, courtesy of the remains of Ivan, followed by what around here we refer to as "football weather." Bright blue skies, moderate winds, high of 70.
Which means its time for suri to start making chili*. Which I did, for the Giants game this afternoon. Chili was awesome, if I do say so myself (and I do). Of the game I will say only....

We have an actual cheer-inducing highlights tape!

I am in shock. I am very happy. I do not expect it to last and so am soaking in the joy of the moment.

*also, soon, apple pies. And applesauce. Spiced cider. And lasagnas, and stew that will feed me for a week. Ah, lovely Autumn, also known as "suri recovers from the heat and starts moving again..."
