lagilman: coffee or die (the general warned me...)

It's hot. No, it's REALLY hot. It's supposed to hit 101 in NYC today, hot. On top of the week previous of 90+ degree days. Let's not even talk about the "feels like" scoring.

Hot.

I am a delicate Yankee-blooded flower, and I was not designed for this crap, ok?

But I'm working anyway. Because what the hell else am I going to do, sitting in front of the AC? Stats will come, to keep me honest.

Meanwhile, this is going around at the Speed of Interent, and rightfully so. Max Berry on Dogs, Smurfs, and gender recognition. Read it.

I am so with you. A/C cranked up and yet I still feel it. We at chez JP are NOT happy today, at all.

Today is one of the rare days when I'm unequivocally grateful to have a day job in an office, regardless of how stressful it may be, because here? THERE IS AIR CONDITIONING.

Here's an idea for you:
Rob Latham (http://twitter.com/#!/roblathan/status/94386769323229184) says he's
"[s]urviving the triple digit temp by having a three-way w/ my AC unit and a tub of ice cream."

Holy crap! It's only 92 here in Florida. I am very, very grateful for my shiny new AC unit, even if the air still feels pretty sticky thanks to the humidity.

Thanks for the link to the Max Berry post. That was a good read.
