I feel aout squirrels the way I do about spiders: so long as they stay out of my living space, we're fine. Squirrels on other side of screen, acceptable neighbors. Inside - and especially having CLAWED THROUGH? Not acceptable.

I'm reminded of my mother's ancient NYT cookbook -- Brunswick Stew called for squirrel.

Also, while you might blame Lilith Saintcrow for spreading #squirrelterror, you could also blame Gennita Low, who adopted a squirrel this year -- maybe your squirrel heard about MikiSquirrel and wants to live the cushy indoor life!
