So. I've sworn off most of the new shows because, y'know, too much to do and not enough time. But I watched LAX -- mainly for Blair Underwood who is, make no mistake, a hottie. And have decided that, like the Mayor, I'm not ready to make a decision yet.

Because, y'know, really corny. And not really well written. But... maybe. Maybe. For a place to rest my brain for an hour every week and just look at all the pretty...

Anyone else got an opinion/made a decision?

In the meanwhile, still waiting/anticipating CSI: New York on the 22nd. And new CSI on the 23rd. Wheee!

I actually enjoyed what I saw of it. I think it suffered from "opening night" blues - trying to shove too much into one episode. Some of the visuals were priceless and there were at least two scenes where I was either laughing out loud or had goosebumps.

I'm going to reserve judgement for at least 2 more episodes. I didn't start really liking Las Vegas until the third ep I'd seen.

And can I hope that Ivan decides to go back out to sea? Please? After Frances, we don't NEED any more rain here.

Been watching the CSI DVDs and catching it as I can on SPIKE network, but I really need some new CSI. I never could get into the Miami one for some reason. The NYC one, on the other hand, looked very good when it was shown as part of the Vegas show. Plus, it has Gary Sinese! He's good, so very good, at depth in his characters.

Um, as part of the Vegas one? The only CSI:NY episode I saw was a CSI:Miami crossover.

But yeah, Gary Sinese. Can't wait.

Miami with the crossover? Hmm. Could be. I watched it because of the promo. That's how forgettable the Miami bits are to me.

Watched about half of this show--and Heather Lockjaw still has it, whatever "it" is. But the show is a--and forgive me K-9 lovers-a d-o-g. If last night was the premier, it doesn't look good for the rest of the season--one could say that LAX is (ooooooooo, this is terrible), terminal.

I need a new addiction

It's been so long since I've been addicted to a show. I am trolling for a new obsession .... I was hoping to be addicted to Joey, but with my usual inattention to the hypnotism box, I forgot when it was on, and when I remembered to turn the box on, it was Trump time. Of course, since I like to be in bed by 9 pm, it reduces the range of potential new addictions.

Oh, for a Twin Peaks. Or a rerun of Dark Shadows. Or Soap.

there is a twin peaks like show coming out called Point Pleasant it's going to be written by Marti Noxon (one of the buffy writers) for Fox.

Nah, she's a "natural" blond.

Oh, I believe her hair color. Sorta. I just don't believe the jawline. (Particularly after the stories the SO tells about her back when she traveled with the band.)

Honestly, LAX just doesn't interest me. From what I've seen in the promos, it looks like one of those "five episodes and it's out" series.

About the only current TV addiction I have right now is Stargate: Atlantis. Like any spinoff series just getting started, it's has its weak moments, but my opinion of Joe Flanigan is about the same as your opinion of Blair Underwood. Easy on the eyes, and very fun to watch. :)

I am, however, right there with you on CSI: New York. Of course, having been a fan of Gary Sinise since about The Grapes of Wrath back in 1991, that's kind of a given. :)
