Been Across The River, and then there was the Seder, and various Work Stuff, and watching the DVR'd GoT episode one (verdict: HBO just HAD to go with the most overt sexist/racist visuals they could find, rather than letting anything subtle/character-developing creep in, didn't they? Otherwise, not bad, will continue watching. And nice horses.)

Going forward: a little more work on pending proposals, to get them all tight & shiny, and then back to PSI #4, so Madame Editrix doesn't show up at my door with a taser....

End-of-semester, that-class-didn't-work-as-well-as-I-hoped crunch.

Also, complete inability to actually organize a Seder. :sigh:

I never ask polite social questions.

[my ex used to say I was one of the few people who would say "I don't want to know, don't tell me" and MEAN it. Conversely, when I say "tell me," I DO mean it. Life's simpler that way.]

Well then! A couple of weeks ago, my husband started repainting the kitchen ... and it still isn't done. And large portions of the kitchen are being stored elsewhere in the house!

But it could be worse - I *have* a kitchen, and lots of stuff to go in it. 8-D

The semester races to a close. This week, my graduate students are trying to write a book review, or a set of annotations. I am assisting them in learning this skill, which none of them have yet.

What I am really teaching them is that is it damnedly hard to write a book review in 200 words.

I am now editing and grading these. I am very tired.

Let's see... I finished the first draft of the Raven Mocker last week. This week, I am on holiday. Which meant I missed Seder at my cousin's place :(. I went to see a play yesterday. Strolled around Norrtälje today, which was nice. Also, I realised what was wrong with the Raven Mocker. So, I am planning to re-plot it. Luckily, I'll be able to salvage stuff from the first draft.
I discovered Alibris ( Too many books, too little place) so I plan to sell books there.

Uhm. I think that was it.

Gosh, Laura Anne, neither JC nor I have read *Game of Thrones*, but we tried watching episode one of the HBO series.

We made it just past the "wedding scene," and then we both went leaping for the "off" switch (smiles). I will read the book as soon as I finish the Dan Simmons novel I'm currently reading . . . but I don't think we're going to be watching any more of the HBO series.
