Renovations, Day 10
Feb. 15th, 2011 06:16 pmWaiting for the guys who are going to refinish the tub to show up, at which point I will Depart the Premises, as I'm told this is a noxious procedure. The cats are on their own (I'll put them behind the plastic wall, with the windows open)
If the fumes kill my gorgeous flowers, I will be Most Upset.
---------------
and I did not actually post this, this morning, as things got a little crazy with work, but yes, the guy did arrive, and the tub has been reglazed, and everything survived (mostly, although the stink of the fumes yet lingers) and tomorrow the crew returns to (hopefully) install the sink and vanity and put up the shower curtain rod (again, as the one they originally put up did not 'take' properly), and then we're just waiting for the plumber to replace the toilet and hook up the sink, and...done? Maybe?
And for the first time in too long, the hallway is not cluttered with boxes and tools and boxes of tiles; in fact, the path from bedroom to living room is nearly clear, and tomorrow, the Wall O Plastic comes down!
EtA: Thanks to a Feline-Related Incident[tm], the wall came down a bit early...
There are still sheets over the bookcases and boards on the floor, though, so we're still in a state of semi-siege....
Meanwhile, I have had Time with the Guy, and a quiet dinner out, and have gotten actual work done, and am feeling somewhat in charity with the world, despite the morning's crazy. How're y'all doing?

Date: 2011-02-16 01:24 am (UTC)How does the reglazed tub look? Like a stock tub again? I'm curious, since I've never actually seen a reglazed tub before.
As for this corner of the Midwest, it was chilly, then got warm (or what passes for warm right now). Work was, well, work. However, the highlight of the night was going to the elementary school to watch our youngest in her school play/musical, Bugz. (She was Bug #4.)
