Renovations, Day 3

And the day begins with me hauling myself back to the gym (as per "January is over, the Resolution Newbies have gone away" plan) and while I'm there, using their shower. Except...there was no hot water. That's just MEAN. But hey, I am now VERY AWAKE!

So, plumbers or plastering today? Cast your bets...

9:40: If you guessed plumbers, you're right!
11:10: we seem to have a working tub again, based on the sounds of running water. Huzzah!
11:25: And if you bet on the patching, apparently you'd have been right, too!
11:30: yep, all new pipes and fittings and whatnot, gleaming copper rather than brown. Some of those pipes were 50+ years old, so good riddance and may they be recycled to a better life.
1:00 nothing has gone wrong yet. *is suspicious* Maybe the cold shower this morning got me paid in full?
2:30: walls still going up. Still nothing going wrong. Not even any mild swearing in Spanish. I am...apprehensive.

Experience tells me plasterers are the real trial. (Do not ask me about the plasterers and our bathroom here. It's not interesting, and I rant.) However, I hope you get through all the stages without stress or alarms. And I am relieved that you seem still to have access to a bathroom. (I was worrying.)

Well, they are not plastering, per se, but installing greenboard and drywall. Which is less messy/quicker finished. So far, so good...

And yeah, the bathroom situation is covered, save for the two days when the toilet is removed, at which point I decamp for Another Apartment.
