In-between meetings and meals, there was time for a spin at Bryant Park Pond....

Despite not having been on skates in three years, my early training* kept me upright and reasonably graceful...(no falls, no collisions, no pitying looks from the skate guards). Will def. have to do that again before the winter's over.

*yeah, once upon a time I was one of those, the bratty 4-year-olds zipping around the rink, no fear and probably no brains, looking like Olympic wannabees before the idea of getting up every morning at 5am to practice sank in and I decided I'd rather go with riding lessons...

I am seriously impressed.

No, really.

The one time I was on a pair of ice skates was back when I was 14, and we were at a winter festival where there was a skating rink with rental skates. Looking back on it, I'm amazed that I didn't end up with two broken ankles.

What's the temps over there in NYC? It's been in the teens all day here in Cincy.

Cannot resist... slush fund reference.

I worked for Bryant Park for a short while, right at the time they were starting the first year of the rink.
