and lo, it is December, and things may get weird...

I really, really really want to talk a lot about the project I'm working on now, that has no contract, no publisher, no editor interested in it [yet], but I love and my agent loves, and everyone I've mentioned it to goes *[Idea Redacted]? OMG WANTS!*

But I'm terrified of actually, y'know, talking about it.

Because I am so far out of my comfort zone on this it's like somebody else has taken over my brain.

And that's a good thing.

But it's also scary as hell.

And I have this suspicion that if I let any of my energy and enthusiasm leak away from the project and into talking about it, the entire thing will fall flat and never actually get written.

So if I seem sort of distracted and vague and even more overly-caffeinated and fluttery, in the next few weeks? That's why.

Well, that and the fact that it's December and my life gets crazy in other ways this month, too....
