Some day, scientists will breed a translucent cat, and the time spent moving felines away from monitors will be replaced by actual productivity.

Until that day, "Pandora, move it" will resound throughout Ch. Felidae.

The Plan for Today:

Write massive amount of words.
Go to the Post Awful and drop off knee-high stack of packages.
French lesson.
Invoice for various finished projectsStart back on very gentle exercise routine, testing leg's recovery.
Write another massive amount of words. (Killed by an aching wrist which I'm smart enough to listen to)
ETA: squee over possible intersection of #fannish and #professional
Fall over.

Isn't my life exciting?

EtA: it's amazing, although not surprising, how much easier the words come when I can get up and pace around while working... #healinglegFTW

And stairs will become even more dangerous than they already are... Mooncat not only likes to sit in front of the monitor, she likes to snooze on the stairs or play ankle-winding while her humans try to use them.

I have tried and tried to explain to my cats the different between opaque and transparent . . .

I don't know how much help a translucent cat would be. I mean, you'd know whether the monitor was on or not, but that's about it. What we really need is a *transparent* cat. Or in my case, a dog whose front feet can't leave the floor.

Have you not learned of the dangers of messing with cat phenotype ala The Windup Girl?

Reminds me of a Kliban cartoon: "We enjoy the television more now that we have a GE Transparent Cat!"
