We not only had a massive geek-fest of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in Bryant Park, but it started off with a Pepe LePew cartoon!

[B. did not know I had a Pepe LePew fetish. He does now...]

This month has had some highs [Odyssey] and also some serious lows [my injury, various work-related delays, this infernal weather], and I suspect August is going to be an equally hard emotional slog [and probably September, too, joy]. But for tonight, for a few hours, I was able to recite The Moose Credits, and clomp coconuts, and ask about unladen swallows and perform bad French accents with an entire park full of people on a gorgeous, cool summer night, and It Was Good.

I have to admit, I was both dismayed and a little worried to realize that the cartoon I had so adored as a child makes light of/is amused by a "pursue her until she loves me/refuse to acknowledge reluctance" suitor as romantic ideal....

Then again, she's a cat, he's a skunk, it wasn't a healthy relationship to begin with.
