Apparently, the magic phrase for today is "grade 2 calf strain."

*mutters, ices*

Thankfully I had gotten most of the week's errands run, and all the laundry sorted and put away, but this is... grrr. Not only is it forcing me to change my plans for the week, but even within my apartment I'm pretty effectively crippled, as -- unlike when my knee goes out, and all I need is my cane's support - just walking hurts like bloody fkcu.

And, damn it, all I did was run up a flight of stairs I take Every. Damn. Day.

*sulks, ices, elevates, and sulks some more*

EtA: huzzah for Skelaxin. And Icyhot. But oh am I so very Not Good with the "stay still don't move" thing. The moment I can't be physical, of course that's all my body itches to do...

I'm on week 4 of nagging discomfort from a back strain caused by dumping a bucket of water. I (literally) feel your pain.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll have a rapid recovery.

Did they define long-term walking? Hopefully it means more than just wandering around the apartment, and that you're allowed out for a short stroll around the block or something.

Bah humbug - you are the 3rd person I know to have an injured leg recently (badly enough to be laid up with, not just 'sore')

Hope you recover quickly..train the cats to get the stuff you need....

So there's something very wrong with me when the first thought was "is that something you need to feed to the calves in colder weather? And what is she doing buying calf feed anyway?"

Makes more sense than the first incoherent flash through my brain: some kind of virus?

I read on, which invariably helps me in these situations.

Sorry about the leg. Pain hurts. (No, really, I heard someone say that once.)

I'm with you on the Hurrah for IcyHot. Love the stuff. Hate that I need it, but thank the gods it exists.

Hope you feel better soon!

Commiserations on the "stay still don't move" thing. Which is so much harder to do in the summer heat than it would be on cold winter days.

Hope you're up and around soon!
