According to bits of my non-fiction, I write like either Dan Brown or Stephen King.

Erm. Yeah. I am somewhat curious to know if the coders thought to include any female writers in their list....

I was also wondering whether they thought to include any female authors.

but....you write like you!!

Also, unless you write in Iambic Pentameter you don't write like William Shakespeare. promise.
....course that would be easier for me to determine if I had my hands on a copy of Vineart War #2...

So far I've seen Atwood and Rowling pop up on the flist but yeah, it's definitely weighted toward the XY end of the scale.

Considering the number of writers who get different answers from different snippets, I wonder if the site has a random author generator at work . . .

Chuck Palahniuk.

Chuck Palahniuk, William Shakespeare, Margaret Atwood, JK Rowling, and Jane Austen. Seriously? Either there's a random generator or my style really is all over the place. These are based on pieces of different works, at least, rather than different pieces of a single work. Oh, yeah, and Kurt Vonnegut.

Based on three different pieces, I've been labeled as Margaret Atwood, Stephen King, and Jack London.

Hunhh.
