a mixed start to the week...

Oh hai insomnia. You had to wait until I got home, in my own comfy bed, to visit? I strongly suspect it's All The Stuff I Put Off for A Week, coming home to roost at 3am. But I didn't want to admit defeat by getting up to deal with it just then. So I trawled the Internet, instead.

On the plus side, that's how I found that Green Man Review had given a positive report to HARD MAGIC:

This is a great start to a new series, a perfect jumping-on point for new readers and a satisfying expansion of the world first visited in the Retrievers series. I loved Wren and Sergei's story, and I'm now hooked on Bonnie Torres and the PUPIs.

So, I am very tired, facing a long day or work and high temperatures (but now! with A/C!), but feeling like I got a pat on the shoulder to encourage me onward....
