Date: 2010-05-19 06:05 pm (UTC)The only times I've even semi-actively tried to send a message to a publisher, it's been along the lines of "I'll take a risk on this book by a midlist or new author, or buy this anthology because I think it's conceptually interesting."
Which isn't to say that I've never stopped buying a series because I felt like I'd had enough of typos everywhere and/or I'd stopped liking it* -- but I never felt like I was sending a message by doing so.
*It's surprising how often many typos and "I think this series is going downhill and not in a good way" go together. But maybe I'm the only one who's noticed that.
