Wedesday Like Monday
May. 19th, 2010 07:01 amIf you were hoping for a Nebula wrap-up: it was Massive Fun w/ Great People.
There.
Okay, more specifically:
# Back, post-Nebs, to a rainy, chilly #NYC & affectionate felines. Travel good. Home better. #BEA/#Balticon next week? Ack! about 17 hours ago via web
# Had guilt-dream about not accomplishing enough. Time to get back to work. 6:51 AM May 17th via mobile web
# Not eaten by alligators. 1:07 PM May 16th via mobile web
# Woke this morning still okay with not-winning a Nebula. Also, glad I went to sleep before 4am, unlike some... #6hoursofsleepyay 7:23 AM May 16th via web
# Best novel to Paolo Bacigalupi for THE WINDUP GIRL. I'm quite satisfied with this. Ok, a smidge disappointed, but satisfied. 10:54 PM May 15th via mobile web
# And Joe's speech reminds us why we love Joe. Truly. 9:51 PM May 15th via mobile web
# Joe Haldeman being presented w/ Grand Master award. Well, well-deserved. 9:42 PM May 15th via mobile web
# Allen Steele starting Nebula toastmaster duties. Still not nervous... 9:00 PM May 15th via mobile web
# At #SFWA business meeting. The glamor...isn't. But it's also part of the job. #writingiswork.
# I have Nebula nominee certificate. And pin. And many gin & tonics. And an 11 am panel tomorrow. Falling over now... #fb 11:57 PM May 14th via web
# On bus back to hotel for Nebula reception now. Also: suspect sunburn. Worth it, tho. Thank you, @SFWA!
# Launch of Atlantis awesome. No other words for it. 2:42 PM May 14th via mobile web
# Safe in FL w/ balcony view of ocean [ <3 ], full of Thai food & crashing for the night...tomorrow, the shuttle launch & mass signing! 11:37 PM May 13th via web
#I like kids but there are -way- too many on this flight. All Disney-hyped. Send mimosas & earplugs, pls!

And now I am wearing my Deadline Hat (literally: a military cammo cap from NASA stating "failure is not an option") and have my coffee, and I am Back To Work.

Date: 2010-05-19 11:30 am (UTC)If there's one really nice thing about having a peanut allergy in the house, it's the not being able to fly down to Orlando part when we took the kids on the WDW trip. I don't think I could have stood the craziness.

You accomplished one of my dreams, right there.
Had guilt-dream about not accomplishing enough. Time to get back to work.
I've read your blog for almost a year now, and I can safely say you do more than some entire departments I know at work.
