I am packed.

I have not gotten my hair cut/styled/colored for this [who has time for vanity?].

I have remembered to pack my pass for the NASA launch.

I have remembered to arrange for the apartment/cats to be sat upon while I am gone.

There is nothing in the fridge that will reach sentience while I am gone.

I have checked in for my flight on-line.

I have not yet gotten a confirmation on my rides to/from the airport while in Florida. This may become An Issue, since plans had a sudden change this week and it's now, well, more of an Issue.

I have prepped for my part in the "Financial Issues for Writers" panel I will be part of on Saturday.

I have decided what I will be wearing to the banquet (based, mainly, on what shoes I'd be wearing).

I have not cleaned the apartment, pre-departure (coming home to a spotless apartment is just kinder to the weary soul)

I have not written a thing worth keeping, fiction-wise, all day. 1600 new words. Some of them might even be coherent.

But now I have given the vampires my blood and gotten my stats lined up and can have coffeeee! And foood! (I don't know why people say 'addicted to caffeine" like it's a bad thing...)

Onward to do some Serious Writing....

EtA: I remembered in time to make it to the annual co-op meeting, to spend an hour going over budgets. oh joys of responsible ownership....

Yay! Well, I DID get my hair cut for this -- but mostly because I hadn't done so in six months and was getting pretty Captain Caveman-ish. FWIW, I've also made my fashion decision -- the same black burberry suit and lilac tie in which i got hitched. My 'good shoes' have seen better days, but I'm a newbie writer, right? Folks expect some shabbiness around the edges (he told himself reassuringly)
