five things on a Sunday, too.
May. 9th, 2010 08:13 pmOn the list of things NYC dogs hear that yours probably don't: "no, don't pee on the Czech consulate, darlin'." (the building, not the actual consul. That would have been...unfortunate)
Massive Wind in NYC Saturday night -- this morning's walk revealed a large branch down across the hood of someone's car. On closer inspection it didn't look as though there was any damage, but some poor bastard had a momentary heart attack when they went out for bagels. I hope s/he'd had coffee, first.
Got some work done this weekend, although not enough, due to a combination of Social, Puppy, and actual Pleasure Reading -- I finally finished SPADE AND ARCHER (a 'prequel' to the Maltese Falcon), which was interesting both as a book and a craft-exercise, but didn't blow my socks off. Ate a lot of good food, had some good wine, missed my kittens a lot. If I could pack them in my suitcase for the next few trips.. ok, maybe not.
Speaking of: Pandora is sleeping on mt left hand. Trying to move it results in grab-and-groom, a move she stole from Boomer. Guess she missed me, too. I should go install the new cat perch, but that would require moving both Pandora, and Boomer, who has taken possession of my toes. Therefore, I must Stay Put.
Meanwhile, the Possible New Project now has both a title and a overall universe-name to go with its growing details. The short story due tomorrow still lacks a new title. Also, final revisions. Ooops. Writerbrain is avoidant. Back to it, me...

Date: 2010-05-10 03:30 am (UTC)Then we went to see Iron Man 2. And I called my mom to wish her a happy Mother's Day.
And I unpacked a few more boxes. Of books.
Bonnie is clearly very motivating.

Date: 2010-05-10 05:36 pm (UTC)I used to have a pink military-style kitbag (well, I still do; I just don't use it any more), which every time I packed it, the last thing I had to do was reach way down inside and unpack the small warm purry element...

Date: 2010-05-10 05:56 pm (UTC)Pandora, in the above icon, had just been spotted hiding in the side pocket of my garment bag, before we left for a cruise. She was determined not to be left behind, that time (the bag was about to be left by the door, so she almost made it).
