So. Tuesday, is this?
May. 4th, 2010 07:17 am1,850 new words yesterday. Slightly off-pace due to taking the weekend off, but not too bad: 20,000 words along. 1/5 to Structural Draft.
Also worked with a new Carina author on the revisions letter -- there's a real satisfaction/glee that comes from seeing a writer "get it," like when you can tell a horse has the bit comfortably between their teeth and their body lengthens, their neck reaching for the finish line. Trust me, if you've ever watched a good horse race you DO know what I'm talking about, even if you don't know that you know.
Didn't quite hit some other deadlines, but made significant progress. Not the Monday I was hoping for, but when is Monday ever that? And there are invoices to file, huzzah!
Today I have Social Stuff to deal with, but the weather feels a little dryer, so my mood should be better...
[so long as I don't watch the news, that is. Not that national news is covering much, these days. I get most of my useful information from #TwitterBreakingNews (if it's not an actual hashtag it should be, or #TBC for short) They were covering the floods in TN and the oil spill in the Gulf and the car bomb in NYC before any of the so-called news orgs. Welcome to the true age of citizen reporting, where at least the biases are out in the open and nobody worries about a sponsor! Seriously -- after CNN's full-body coverage of Tigergate at the expense of Actual News....]
