Thursday? Wasn't it just Monday?
Apr. 29th, 2010 06:35 amYesterday was the not the day I was looking for. Moving along now. [nothing bad, just.. a lot of office management and not much word management either authorally or editorially. And still waiting for answers on things I need to move on other things.]
On the plus side: 7 hours of sleep last night. I may not die, just yet.
Am thinking hard about going to the pro-regulation rally on Wall Street this afternoon (5pm), because apparently the Dems are feeling shy about following through on demanding accountability* (shock). Anyone else in the NYC are interested?
EtA: deadline just hit an external snaffle, so it looks like I'm dealing with freelance cat-herding tonight, instead. Such is life...
*I expected nothing else from the GOP, which has always answered to Wall Street, even in the worst of recent days. That leopard will not de-spot.

b) Leaves Wall Street intact
c) Makes it seem like you're standing up to corrupt big government
warning: non-bitter cynicism ahead
Date: 2010-04-29 12:31 pm (UTC)Government these days is predicated on the theory that your lobbyist-bought-and-paid-for representative can judge when it would cost more to accept their paycheck than to refuse it. Right now, the GOP thinks the patronage outweigh the outrage. The only way to change their votes is to prove them wrong.

Date: 2010-04-29 12:47 pm (UTC)Cynical or jaded =/= bitter, 100% of the time. Not even 90%.

Date: 2010-04-29 12:36 pm (UTC)I also wrote a snippy email to Carl Levin & Co. after watching the Goldman fiasco but I deleted it before sending it because it was not constructive. Though :-) - I must admit, I felt better after writing it.
