Apr. 26th, 2010 08:03 pmEtA: And Boomer has learned how to use the cell phone. Sorry, Nea!
Home from PuppysittingCon. Puppy was left, fed, brushed, and sleepy, to wait for Her Primary People(waits for phone call to confirm they got home ok). The felines, despite my fears, have not changed the locks, although they did get into the kibble and scatter it all over the kitchen floor (they weren't hungry so much as they were Annoyed).
And I discovered, to my great annoyance, that I seem to have left the chunk of smoked salmon at CostCo. Damnit. That's a $15 reminder that I'm a bit brain-overwhelmed at the moment.
But things are sorted and put away, I've downloaded my e-mail to the desktop, for sorting and replying to the stuff I didn't manage to get to earlier, and my files have all be safely transferred, ready to be worked on again tomorrow morning.
Also for tomorrow: random bookkeeping, bill-paying, laundry, and invoicing.
But for tonight? Me, leftover Thai food, some mindless television, and quality Kitten Time.

Date: 2010-04-27 01:59 am (UTC)The next weekend when I went down (it's 30 minutes away) I just mentioned in passing to the checker that I was going to be sure and not do that again. And she sent me to customer service and they asked me what else was in the bag, and I said, "I mainly remember the beer, but I think there was [something, can't remember what]."
Well. It turns out when somebody leaves groceries behind, they record it in their computer. They retrieved the record and sent somebody to get everything that had been in the bag and gave it to me. More than I remembered leaving behind, too.
