no snow. very sad.
Feb. 6th, 2010 07:35 amFirst, many thanks to those who sent their congrats on the new gig, here and on FB/Twitter. I took yesterday off as a mental health day (lunch at Aquavit! Naps! Puppy-time!) but now am back in the saddle again -- possibly just in time for the first batch of submissions to hit my in-box, as well as all the rest of the to-do list.
Meanwhile, the current Snowmagedon seems to be passing us by. I feel cruelly and utterly cheated. Also, very annoyed, as I'd planned to spend today bundled up on the sofa, working, smelling the chili-for-tomorrow turn itself into awesome goodness, and watching the snow fall. And now there is no snowfall. :-(
(there will be chili, however, soon's I get out to buy the last bits of ingredients)
And it looks as though there will also be a new keyboard in my future, as this one (after not even a year of dutiful service) seems to be failing under my fingers. Sheesh, you'd think I used it a lot or something.
Anyone have suggestions for a good, sturdy PC-keyboard. I don't need programmable bells-and-whistles but I do prefer an ergonomic shape, and I like a solid clicky action...

Date: 2010-02-06 02:06 pm (UTC)Overnight, naturally, the snow strengthened as the temperature dropped we now have about 5" on the ground and another 2" expected before it tapers off by noon.
My in-laws called this morning from Louisville, and they only got 1-2" there.
I've decided that if I want a career change, I want to be a weather forecaster. Where else can you be wrong so many times within 24 hours and still keep your job?
