Something that hit the newswire this morning:

"Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page disclosed on Friday that they plan to give up their majority control of the internet group over the next five years. Their planned stock sales will mark a highly symbolic end to their formal control over the company."

Corporate all the way, now. "Don't Be Evil" is transferred to "Don't Disappoint the Shareholders."

I wonder if that is the beginning of the end for creativity from Google as well. R&D is often a victim of budget cuts, right up there with training and travel.
