A Writer Looks at Editing:
15 years as an editor before I turned to writing full-time gives me a rather interesting -- and very practical -- take on my job as writer. Let me help you help your editor.
Writing in More than One Headspace:
Long form, short form, e-pub, trad-pub, romance, fantasy, horror, non-fiction...is it really possible to have a spoon in too many pots? Or is it part of being a working writer in this modern world?
*rubs hand gleefully.*
In other news:
-the first short story of 2010 has been pronounced -- drafty but solid, with good bones. I find it somewhat amusing that I have slipped from writing about a world where magic comes from wine, to one in which it's Prohibition.
- I have acquired the last remaining bottle [in the store] of the 2007 Fixin I was lovin' on last month, plus some others from the same Domaine, and am pleased.
- groceries have been delivered, which means there is stew to be made before the root veggies take over the kitchen.
And, for those of you who are jonesing for more Cute Critter Pics, I present you Smilin' Pups, aka "Mei-Chan and Phoebe have a playdate."
I also have incriminating footage of Pandora getting into the kitty-crack, but can't seem to upload it off my phone. Anyone got an answer?
